Elder Jack Raymond July 2021- July 2023

  Hey whats up, not gonna talk about much, probably will just be about Hulk Truck So the other day, we found this truck, stubby little thing, old school, but it was probably the coolest thing you ever seen because it was painted like the Hulk, and it had Hulk spelled out in big letters on the back. We were so inspired by this truck, we loved it so much, but we didnt get a pic with it and we were sad we would never see this thing again. But miracles are a thing baby! One night, we had a lesson, and it went past 9:30, so we were like haulin back to the house cause we were already late. And we live on this freakin hill, and it the absolute worst to climb everyday. So we were just dreadin it ya know. Then whatta ya know, the freakin Hulk Truck literally out of nowhere!! Just pulls up beside us and tells us to hop in the back. We dont even know this guy, 50/50 chance he was just super nice or he was gonna kidnap us, but it was the Hulk Truck, so we obviously had to hop in. We were just ...

 I am so dead right now hahahaha. As a secretary Im in charge of stuff that I dont think a 20 year old gringo in mexico should be in charge of hahaha. I am in charge of immigrations, keeping people in the country, and travels, helping people go back home. And let me just say that during transfers it just kills hahaha, but whatevs you know. Well some news I got for you is that we baptized my guy Gil!! He is so cool, and hes super rich hahaha, hes 17 but he is amazing and his testimony on families is so strong! He wants to go to the temple so bad. So the work is pressing on here down in good ol Xalapa. We have some more friends who are gettin ready to make their first covenant as well which is really exciting. But other than that just some small things have happened, like almost getting kissed by a drunk guy, losing electricity and water to pur house, eating grasshoppers, and just classic Mexico stuff like that.   Hey everybodyyyy Well I guess I got some news, I'm the New secretary to the president in my mission! It has some good parts and some bad parts haha, the good thing is that I get to know about everything that happens in the mission and I get to be close to president alot, but the bad part is that I have to be un the offices a lot of the time. So overall I'm learning a lot, especially learning on how I would hate to have a career where I do Office work all day hahaha. But nimodo, i gotta be here for 6 months so wish me luck. There is not really that much to say hahaha, except I'm in Xalapa now, which is pretty awesome, it's just a giant city, actually the capital of Veracruz, so there is lots of stuff to do. Like I went to a Walmart for the first time in Like 10 months out here hahaha, same with Subway and with Dairy Queen, now I'm just waiting for my chance to finally use my McDonalds gift card hahah.   Bueno, aqui estoy otra vez This week was pretty nice, because i made my companion be the senior companion for the week hahah, so i let him make and plan out some lessons and stuff like that, so it was easy sailing for me this week hahah, but it was fun and we worked a lot still. We were able to find a few new people to teach and progress a lot more of our investigators already. And we will be baptising our boy Lencho this Saturday!! Woot woot! Hes a beast, that's all i have to say haha. But i cant believe its already week 6, last week of the transfer, this one just straight up flew by so fast. Cant wait to see what will happen this time because now we are basically guaranteed to switch it up a bit. But this week was like a holiday week and so will the next couple weeks i think, so my area is just packed with tourists from around Mexico, so its really cool, and we actually meet lots of people from the US hahah, and it is literally soooo weird, i cant like explain it, it feels off ...

  Hellooo Well it's been a pretty cool week and very interesting as well, lets just say i'm learning a lot about living on my own now hahaha, not in a good way but not in a bad way either. The first thing i learned is the importance of paying bills hahaha, we were apparently supposed to pay this bill so that we would have electricity for some reason, but we didn't, so we ended up with no electricity for a day and a half at our house hahaha, also our toilet broke, just a fat crack down the tank of our toilet now, so now we have to use the toilet in a special way hahaha, and i'm also learning to eat better, let's just say i definitely have had an above average amount of sugar these past weeks. But if you know me and especially if you know my dad, it runs in the family hahaha, but yeah, I'm still learning how to live on my own, but it's fun overall.
