Anotha one

Well I don't know how it's possible but I'm almost done with my first transfer. Time is really flying by haha! Also on the other hand like I mentioned last week... we had another baptism woot woot! It was in the font this time, not the river unfortunately. But it was Still amazing because I was one of the baptizers! Me And my comp both had one niño. They are so cool I love em both. I baptized my boy Kevin, and my comp baptized my other boy juanito. I was scared I was going to mess up when I was baptizing because everyone down here has like 5 different names as their full name, i didn't think I was gonna remember but i did luckily. It was an amazing experience.

Also street contacting people down here is alot Harder than I thought haha. For one I don't know the language so It makes It difficult in the first place, and secondly I cant tell the difference between a normal person and a drunk person haha! Apparently the only people who want to talk to us are the drunks around here lol. Because every time I actually feel like I'm actually contacting with someone and I've talked with them for like 10 mins, my comp is always like "yeah that guy was drunk." Then I get all disappointed because I know they are gonna forget everything we talked about. So I guess I gotta pay more close attention to who I'm talking to lol.

Lets see what else. I used some of my plumbing skills to fix the toilet (thanks homedepot <3) but I Also almost broke the churches urinal haha. Apparently the don't like to have handles to flush public toilets. So I just started twisting stuff to see if It would start flushing, and it did. But it was flushing for a really long time, so I was like oh maybe I need to untwist it to make it stop? So I was untwisting it and the entire piece came off and water started shooting out the urinal like a broken Fire hydrant! So I quickly shoved the piece back on, luckily it screwed back on haha, and there was a giant water puddle on the ground and my shirt was soaking wet. But that was pretty normal haha because I'm always sweaty and for some reason everything is always wet in the bathrooms here. And luckily I was the only one in the bathroom so I basically just walked out and acted like nothing happened haha!

To finish this email, I'm just gonna share a scripture I've came across as I've bien reading el libro de mormón. It is 1 nephi 17:13 it says, "And I will be your light in the wilderness; and I will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye shall be Led towards the promised land; and ye know that it is by me that ye are Led." I love this because Christ is our light in the wilderness, and I like to think I'm in the wilderness right now physically and mentally haha. And he guides us to the promised land, and the promised land is whatever you want to accomplish, that is good, because all good things come from God. I like to think of my promised land as eternal life, and I know God is our light to guide us to achieve what we have faith in.

I love you guys, email me jack.raymond@missionary.org
