Happy late halloween, but happy día de los muertos instead!

This week was great!! Lots of cool experiences this week. For our Last pday we went to the Beach! Lets just say being at the Beach put me in my feels haha. I really miss it. The Beach here is pretty different though, first off the water was literally the PERFECT temperature, for all you Beach goers out there you know what i mean. But the sand at the Beach was the worst, it wasnt soft at all, so there are some good parts and bad parts. Lets just say that i am definitely already making some vacation plans for after the mish haha.

We also had the multi zone conference again and we had Elder Montoya from the area seventy and hus wife come to speak with us. It was a really cool experience he had some pretty amazing perspectives for us to ponder. But i cant wait for this wednesday!! This wednesday we get to have a zoom conference with Elder Holland!! I cant wait to hear what he has to say in our own little personal mission conference, im veryyyy excited.

One thing that happened this week that really strengthened my faith and testimony was when we were at Alfredos house (our investigator). He wasnt home yet but his mom was, so she invited us in and she knew Who we were and that we were missionaries and all that. But she was automatically interested in learning more. When she was talking about what she felt was right before we even really started to teach her, she was already stating some Major points that we believe to be a part of gods plan for us! We asked her if she had missionary lessons before but she said no. We were both Amazed at her knowledge already. Then during the lesson we were giving her, it was going really well, she stopped. And this is what she said. I could tell she was feeling the spirit when she said "i just want let you know that you guys are shining like a bright light to me right now." That was something amazing that i needed to hear and that really strengthened me.

Light is always being described throughout the scriptures. But my favorite phrase is when it describes Jesus as the light and the life of the world. And there is a scripture i like as well in 3 Nephi 18:24 it says, "Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do." We need to be an example of christ. When Alfredos mom told us we were shining like a light i knew we were representing christ. And i knew that by being a light and an example of christ i dont need to have perfect spanish or know everything in preach my gospel to change the lives of others. Im very grateful to serve on my mission, im loving every minute of it.
