Corn lol

Another transfer just flew by haha, this one felt wayyyy faster than the other one though in my opinion.

But this transfer should be verrryyyy interesting ill tell you that, im not sure how i feel about it hahaha, there are some exciting things and some scary things. First of all im staying in cerro azul, pretty happy about that because i get to keep teaching some of our amazing investigators, and hopefully baptize them!! And the scary part is that i got a New companion, his name is Elder Evans, and yep hes american, but not only that, hes from my generation of missionaries! So that means we got 2 gringos Who dont know spanish too too well trying to preach the gospel in cerro azul, but not only that, they decided to make me senior companion!! But not only that, we are basically gettin a brand New zone as well because everyone left haha. We had 5 out of our 10 leave and now are gettin 9 different missionaries put in our zone!! And guess what i went from being the only white boy in the zone and now we have 6 americans in the zone haha, and 4 of them are from my generation of missionaries. All im gonna say is that transfers are crazy, and im ready to go headfirst into it. But all in all this week was a good week.

The weather is getting Colder, from what i can tell, basically that means it went from being like 85 degrees to like 80 haha, but no in the mornings its pretty chilly. Me and my comp had a cold for a few days, so i got to experience a little sickness for the first time. I probably could have treated it better than i did, probably cause i didnt have my mom around to cater to my needs haha, so i basically just ate cookies and sat on the couch all day because we couldnt visit People when we were sick. But its ok, i gave a real intent prayer one night because i really didnt want to be stuck inside for another day, i wanted to go work, and i felt almost 100% that next morning! So yeah prayers are the Best, keep praying guys!!

Also this week is thanksgiving, so happy thanksgiving! At least To all those Who arent living in mexico right now haha. I dont think we are doing anything special for thanksgiving, so im sure ill get really sad when i see the pics of my family eating basically an all you can eat buffet while i have a tiny little al pastor taco on my plate haha. But dont worry im still grateful, we'll have a mexican thanksgiving or something.
But then christmas is coming up and thats just a sob story for another email hahaha.

One other thing we did this week ill mention before i finish up, is that i didnt realize how much corn People need down here haha. We did service for a family where we basically decorned a dried corn on the cob. And there was not a few! There was literally a pile of corn the size of a small couch that needed to be done haha. I dont know why People need so much corn lol, and that simple thing of decorning corn was probably the hardest thing and the dirtiest thing ive done on the mish so far haha. My hands were very sore after, there was corn dust everywhere, as well as insects all over the corn and me, and i was sweating like a dog haha. But we got a part of the pile done, and im still happy i had that service experience, becuause we honestly dont get much of it.

Love you guys!! Hope you have an amazing week!! Email me jack.raymond@missionary.org
